WG Pedigree Tree

Gideon's father is Greys Sport (Imp UK).  Following is an excerpt from a report appearing in the 2011WP&CSA Journal:
The breeding of the Section C is a challenge accepted by many but sucessfully achieved by very few stud owners.  One of the most interesting Section C ponies to come to Australia is Greys Sport bred by A L Jones of Talybont in Wales and imported by Alison and the late Karen Chipperfield in 1982.
Born in 1980 Greys Sport is by Nebo Brenin, a stallion  that headed the sires progeny list in the UK for both Section C's and Ds for many years.
Greys Sports dam was Trannon Duchess by the Section B stallion Ardgrange Llun Gwyn by the famous Section A stallion Coed Coch Planed out of the Section B mare Chirk Debrorah who carried Coed Coch Berwynfa blood.
Greys Sport has 28 progeny listed in the Stud Book, the majority of them carrying the Wingana prefix and he has had a significant impact on the breeding of Section Cs and Cobs in Australia and New Zealand during his lifetime at the Wingana Stud.
For example Wingana Gideon has 32 registered progeny and Barnon Beau Gambler bred by Di Gatehouse by Greys Sport out of Rhydlas Ramona (Imp UK) has 55 registered progeny most of whom carry the Pen-nant or Rivington prefix.
Gideon's mother is Wingana Gay Girl, Sire: Glansevin Superstar (imp), Dam:Synod Gay Girl (llD) (by Synod William out of Synod Georgie Girl).
